Do you want acne-free skin, but are like most people and you are struggling? Here are 5 ways to get clear skin that you can follow to get your skin back on track to being cleaner and healthier. (Remember, the healthier your skin is, the less prone you will be to acne outbreaks.)

Great Ways To Get Clear Skin

1. Ditch the harsh soaps.

Want to be acne-free - Don't use harsh soaps

There is a wide variety of soaps on the market these days. Harsher soaps have a tendency to dry out your skin which can worsen the acne. When you buy soap, stick with the milder ones witch have a 2% level of “Salicylic Acid”. These are usually great for maintaining proper skin hydration and the slight acidity will keep unwanted bacteria from developing.

2. Sleep, sleep and more sleep.

Want to be acne-free - Get more sleep!

Yes, everyone is busy these days and sometimes it’s hard to get enough rest; however, you have to make a conscious choice to do it. Getting enough sleep will help loosen your skin pores, which will hopefully prevent acne from developing.

3. Meditate!

Meditation is becoming extremely popular these days. So much so that CEOs from Fortune 500 companies are doing it now. If done properly and you are focused on it, meditation will melt away the stress and stress has been proven to be a major factor in acne outbreaks. This is because stress creates hormones that literally age us by creating toxic byproducts in our systems.

4. Eat healthy food.

Want to be acne-free - Use healthy foods!

This should be a no-brainer. Toxic nutrients in your body have a huge effect on your skin and can increase your chances of developing acne. Lay off the junk food as much as possible, increase the fruits and veggies and drink lots and lots of water! A minimum of 8 glasses a day is needed to make sure everything functions properly, including skin cell development. And don’t forget your vitamins! Multivitamins are fairly cheap and just one or two a day can make a big difference.

5. Ditch the smokes and the booze.

Want to be acne-free - Stop drinking alcohol and smoking!

Not only is smoking a nasty, smelly habit, it will literally make your skin look a lot older than it actually is and will also tighten the pores which will increase the chance of getting acne. Alcohol is another one that you should limit as much as possible if you want acne-free skin.

Conclusion

We hope you found these 5 ways to get clear skin useful. We are confident that the steps listed above will help you towards getting the acne-free skin you’ve always wanted. For some, only one or two changes might suffice, whereas for others, it may take more drastic changes. Good luck! In the meantime, if you need a great soap to help you fight acne, consider the Oleavine Antifungal Soap with Tea Tree and Neem.

  1. Interesting… meditation never would have crossed my mind, but it kinda makes sense… less stress, healthier body. Will have to give it a try someday.

    1. Thanks for leaving a comment Tracy. Yes, meditation isn’t something you hear that often when it comes to acne. It’s like everything else though, it may work for some and not for others. Everybody is different… but the good thing is that it is free, has other health benefits as well and you can pretty much do it anywhere as long as you have a quiet place to be alone. Definitely worth a try! 🙂

  2. Definitely get more sleep! I can’t even begin to explain how going from 5 hours of sleep a day to a consistent 7 made huge differences for me. Less stress, more energy, no more baggy eyes, clearer skin, etc… I can go on and on!

    1. That’s great! Sometimes it’s hard to do but when you force yourself to sleep more, it can have amazing benefits. Txs for the comment!
